Design Hara Unveils the Most Elegant PC with iPhone Dock
The insides of a computer are obviously more important as they determine its performance. But it doesn’t harm its performance if it looks elegant and slim and adds to the décor in your home. Design Hara, the Korean studio has unveiled a new green PC that is a perfect example of attractive industrial design. It looks small for a computer and might be mistaken for a car stereo. But the thing that makes it not only different but superior to similar products is the iPhone dock.
The iPhone dock is right in front which is capped with a piece of solid wood. The case of the Slim PC is handcrafted in a svelte and compact design that fits in very well in any modern living room. The other highlight of the design is that it allows for an easy disassembly of the machine leading to optimum recycling. The power consumption is also lower than the average at just 60 watts. It is hardly 30% compared to a traditional desktop PC.
There have been improvements on the inside as well. In place of Intel Core2Duo processor the eco friendly Slim PC sports a more powerful Intel Sandy Bridge i3 and i5 chips. The internal hard drive has been upgraded to 2 terabytes. The Slim PC is powered by an Intel Atom Dual Core D525. It comes with Windows 7 and has a storage capacity of 500GB. The integrated iPhone dock gives it an edge compared to other PCs and makes it a perfect media streaming device. Launched in Korea the Slim PC has been priced between $630 and $945.
