Sculpture Line Skeleton Watch By Tissot Bares It All

Sculpture Line Skeleton Watch is the fusion of contemporary design and classic and traditional watch. The beauty of this watch reveals both internal and external values. The  craftsmanship of the new Tissot Sculpture Line Skeleton actually shows everything such as designs and the fascinating mechanical movement  through windows, with the nostalgic details such as roman numerals on the dial and leather strap which is neatly stitched.  The Tissot draws attention of the individuals who want to look beyond the surface.
Tissot gold skeletonized Sculpture Line Skeleton Watch By Tissot Bares It All
Sculpture Line Skeleton watch by Tissot comes in 18k gold versions of T-Touch which has a forty five millimetre wide case.  You may hope to get them not only on gold bracelets, but also in platinum. Local Tissot dealers do not sell the Tissot watch.
Tissot  has Swiss calibre with 6497 manually wound movement which is visible through cuts to show how watch works.  Basic movement is artistically skeletonised and engraved. Tissot offers a fully skeletonised watch, but the numerals are still legible. The dial has the indicators of hour and minute, with silver and black dial. Tissot uses a full scale hour as well as minutes showing time. Dial is cut open to show the view of the movements, which gives upside down mushroom appearance.
You could see complete skeletonization and process of decoration on the rear side of the watch. The case is fitted with the crocodile strap. The price is not known. The luxury watch may be estimated about $5,000 to $8,000. Price would be definitely high with the 18K gold case.

Jaeger-LeCoultre presents the Atmos 561 by Marc Newson.

That unique piece will be sold in aid of charity, to the benefit of AMM, Monaco Association against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
AMM aims at collecting funds to finance research, organize scientific roundtables and improve the quality of life of the children, teenagers and young adults affected by the genetic illness. Progressively serious, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is characterized by a weakening of muscles and leads to lung and cardiac complications that become fatal with the onset of adulthood.
The Atmos is the world’s only clock movement that runs on thin air. The unique Atmos 561 by Marc Newson is completely balanced and simple in design, as unexpected as it is obvious, yielding a spare form that borders on a sketch.
Designer Marc Newson, who has always been fascinated by the Atmos clock, has designed its case as a Baccarat crystal bubble, which brings out its ethereal nature, lends it a futuristic elegance and catapults it into the ranks of today’s great designs.
For this unique Atmos piece, Baccarat customized its crystal using all its expertise and following numerous manufacturing operations.
The “unpolished” technique was applied first to the exterior surface of the crystal which was subsequently immersed into acid baths to obtain a sandblasted crystal effect.
During this operation, certain areas of the crystal were protected, which allowed to show several shades of the sandblasted crystal.
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Atmos 561 by Marc Newson - Piece Unique will be auctioned by ARTCURIAL Briest-Poulain-F.Tajan on 29 November 2011.

Once again, as official partner of the Menuhin Festival, Armin Strom invites you to its lounge at the famous Classic Event in Gstaad. For the 55th edition of this popular concert series, the Biel watch manufacturer is designing an exclusive “festival” series of timekeepers in a limited edition.

For more than half a century the Menuhin Festival has been attracting countless thousands of music lovers to summery Saanenland. Founded in the year 1957 by Lord Yehudi Menuhin, the concert series today ranks among Switzerland’s most important classical events. With a diversified portfolio of national and international stars from the classical music scene, the festival in the Bernese Oberland enjoys worldwide acclaim. For seven weeks, it offers its visitors an attractive programme of over fifty concerts, taking place from 15 July to 3 September 2011. This is the second year that Armin Strom is the main sponsor.

However, this year at the Gstaad festival away from the concert stages, there is much to experience. Armin Strom, as the Menuhin Festival’s official partner also invites you to its own lounge on the edge of town. In this way, there is a special opportunity for the many invited guests to get to know the Biel watch manufacturer better in stylish surroundings. Here, they can take a close look at individual  watches, discover the new collections and experience first-hand the presentation of the Armin Manual Fire designed especially for the festival. Of course, to ensure that there is still plenty of musical enjoyment, the watch manufacturer is inviting its guests to the concerts taking place each evening.

This year, the Menuhin festival celebrates its 55th anniversary. For this occasion, the event’s partner, Armin Strom, has arranged a special surprise.
Linked to this year’s festival theme of “Fire and Sun”, a new model of the Armin Manual Fire series was designed in an exclusive version.
For this special release, the gear train bridge on the underside of the movement has been embellished with hand-engraved flames and a musical pitch clef with some notes.
The Armin Manual Fire Limited Menuhin Edition is a limited edition of exactly 55 wristwatches.

Authenticity Either Is Or Isn't.

Authenticity either is or isn't.

When a brand pretends to be something it is not, the result generally backfires. Like this beautiful Chrysler “Style” commercial that demonstrates that yes, Chrysler was synonymous with American style. The key word being WAS. Lesson: Even great advertising does not make uncool, cool.

Which leads us to think of bygone eras and authentic brands that are no more. Such as Benrus watches. Somehow the move to digital watches and colourful plastic timepieces took the seriousness out of watches. Is this good or bad? You decide for yourself but we are currently enamored with the 1940 Benrus Sky Chief. Real numbers, real hands, serious black or silver face, a real crown to wind it. Benrus Watch co. was founded in New York City in the 1920s by Benjamin Lazarus. Benrus was the official watch of the U.S. mail-carrying pilots of several cargo airlines. Known at its peak as the “Official Watch of Famous Airlines,” it was the official time piece of pilots at Delta, KLM, NWA and TWA. You can still find some of the authentic Sky Chiefs, and by forking out $2,400 or so, you may even be able to own one.

Breguet Marine Tourbillon Ref. 5839 High Jewellery Chronograph Watch

In the watch world diamonds seem to make just about everything better. This Ref. 5839 Marine Troubillon High Jewellery watch is a diamond encrusted version of the Ref. 5937 from a few years ago. Breguet outfitted the watch case and dial with an impressive amount of diamonds, but still was able to retain that signature Breguet Marine watch look.

The 43mm wide 18k white gold case as about 11.77 carats of stones on it. One of the neatest parts is how Breguet was able to maintain the coined edge of the case using specially cut diamonds. Also not the unique pattern the diamonds create for the bezel. On the dial smaller diamonds are set in the middle of the dial and don't overshadow the hands. The dial itself is silvered 18k gold. Overall Breguet did a great job giving a men's jewelry watch a functional face.

Inside the watch is a Breguet caliber 554.4 manually wound tourbillon movement with the time and a chronograph complication. The watch has 50 hours of power reserve with special features that include a silicium balance spring and escapement wheel.
